LEAF SPRINGS

The Cherokee 3.5 leaf springs are the most feature packed springs you can get for your vehicle. The two stage leaf packs offer multi rate performance for comfortable and precise handling on road and the performance needed for off road abuse; these are the ONLY leaf spring packs that are matched to complement the MetalCloak front Dual rate coil springs.

TJ/LJ Front Coil Springs - Pair

Product Features:

  • Two-stage Leaf Pack: Featured on rear leaf springs for compliant, comfort on road and unsurpassed load handling when pushed to the limits. When unladed the vehicle is largely riding on the softer 1st stage of the spring, the secondary stage provides additional support under heavy compression. 
  • Overload leafs add anti-spring wrap and ensures the leaf works within the optimal compression loads.
  • Draw Tapered & Diamond Cut Leaves: Ensure loads are progressively distributed over a larger surface area and reduce the high stresses that develop at leaf spring ends. This improves ride quality, protects against leaf breakage, and significantly increases the spring life.
  • Bolt Clamps & Liners: Leaf clamps are bolted to allow installation of anti-squeak nylon liners.
  • Fully Scragged & Load Tested: Scragging ensures the spring takes a permanent 'set' which reduces the risk of sagging. Load testing ensures the spring meets the required specification.
  • Graphite Coating: To further reduce the friction between the spring leaves & friction pads.
  • Anti-Friction Pads: Re-greasable nylon interleaf liners reduce friction at the leaf tips where the load is the greatest.
  • Flat Axle Seat Area: Provides a flat axle mount to the spring plates reducing spring stress & increasing spring life.
  • Shot Peening: The tension side of all leaves are shot peened to reduce spring stress. This process can double the life of a spring.

Durotrak Bushing

The Durotrak™ Bushing (Pat Pend #14/622,350) is a NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) bushing made with a proprietary rubber compound unique to MetalCloak. The Durotrak™ two part bushing is comprised of two pieces that thread together making this bushing simple to install without a press, reduces vibration and harshness transferred to the driver, and improves vehicle steering input.

First I would like to say thank you to Matson for the personal Phone call when I ordered my Kit. Customer service to the next level... Then the Fast Shipping ..from California to Florida in a week.  The Kit can well boxed and everything was there. We just got done installing everything and it went well. Just some after thoughts about the kit content.. Maybe add the Upper Front Spring Isolator's as a kit option... On Most installs, the isolator's are pretty well shot and takes a day or two to get them from anywhere. Also maybe even a set of Moog Upper Control Arm Bushings ... to complete this awesome Kit. I will folllow up with my review once I have had a chance to take this newly awakened beast offroad.
