Well worth the money - excellent kit October 20, 2016
Reviewer: SS from HSV, AL United States
On a stock JKU I got 4" up front and 3 1/4" in the back of total lift.  Jeep sits almost perfectly level (bought the 2.5" kit, use the middle hole in the control arm bracket).  This is one of the most complete kits out there and comes with everything to make sure your Jeep still drives like it should on road and like a beast off-read (tested at Windrock, TN).  All I had to add was the exhaust spacers.  The only missing item is a new wire retainer for the rear e-brake lines.  I was skeptical of the Rocksport shocks but they have performed well, just wish they came in black.  My wife asked "what are those ugly red things under your Jeep?"  The instructions are the weak point in this kit.  Review the install with all your parts and try to do it during the week incase you need to call for assistance.  As with any lift you need to also plan to extend your axle breathers(5/16th fuel line) adjust your headlights, and recalibrate your speedo if you also changed tire size.

Bought and personally installed the 2.5", softer ride wth the dual rates, no noticeable body roll increase, excellent build quality on all the components. Love the setup.

Good basic kit, minor issues. April 25, 2016
Reviewer: Jack Roman from Phoenix, AZ United States
I'm a bit fan or Metalcloak products and this is my second kit (bought it for a friend's Jeep and just finished installing it for them).

Overall a solid kit but has a few issues. First, does not come with printed instructions or complete parts list. I find this annoying.

After printing the instructions I noticed some extra mystery brackets and it turned out we were missing one lower control arm bolt & nut (not a big deal).

The spacers for the drop brackets would not fit for the life of us and we had to grind them a tiny bit then hammer them into place.

I also don't understand why the Metalcloak uses a 19mm and 22mm head bolt when the stockers are 18mm and 21mm. That said, the quality of the hardware is good.

We also had to trim the front track bar bushing as it wasn't even close to fitting into the bracket.

That said, it's a good kit and drives very well. I think the components and brackets are good quality and would still recommend this kit.

Metalcloak 2.5" Overland Elite Lift March 24, 2016
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Texas
I have had the lift on for 1 week, but so far it is awesome.  Before I ordered the people at Metalcloak were patient and thoroughly answered all of my questions.   The quality of the components seem very good, and the fit was nice and snug.  In the limited driving I have done, it rides very well also.  The only negatives are the instructions could be better, and the provided brake lines are OK, however I do not like the way the brakes hand between the shock and spring.  I will probably buy a different set of brake lines for the front.

3.5 Overland Elite December 7, 2015
Reviewer: Mark Aros from Tucson, AZ United States
Lift arrived within one week of order. Install was pretty straight forward, but did need to check out some on line videos. As for the ride. I did not need to adjust much after the install except straighten the steering wheel. Coils are stiffer but not hard over the stock coils. It drives straight and feels firm along with no bump in the steer at higher speeds. I running 35s on 18 inch rims. Out of the box this is an excellent kit and would recommend  it to anyone as a DD or rock crawler. I really don't think the brackets will be a issue. The wife even likes the ride. Great job MC.
