JK Rear Coil Spring Retainer
JK Rear Coil Spring Retainer

The MetalCloak JK Rear Coil Spring Retainer assures the rear coil stays in place.

This simple retainer solution keeps the rear coil secure and ensures that it remains where it needs to be.

Why do you need it?

While MetalCloak's True Dual Rate Coils ensures the spring stays in contact at full droop, not all coils are made the same. If you have another aftermarket coil or if you custom set up depends on limiting straps or uses the shock as a limiting strap, it is possible for the coil to fall out if one of them breaks unexpectedly. The spring retainer is just one more option to make sure you are prepared for anything.

Complete Rear Coil Spring Retainer Kit Includes:
  • (2) Laser Cut Gold Zinc Plated Steel Retainer Rings
  • (2) Gold Zinc Plated Grade 8 bolts
  • (2) Spring Retainer Flag nuts
  • (2) Black Zinc Plated Lock Washers

Springs Retained May 5, 2017
Reviewer: Richard May from Indianapolis, IN United States
Not much to say, I managed to get them bolted in.
There is not very much room for your fingers under the spring perch. The tabs on the nuts, could be a little longer with a couple of bends, to make it slightly easier to get nut under the bolt. I had to hang onto the tabs on the nuts, with just the tips of my fingers, to position the nut under the bolt hole. A little frustrating, but doable.
