The Jeep Wrangler Rear Flare Mounting Base Plates install easily and provide additional strength to the vulnerable wheel well opening.

JEEP WRANGLER REAR FLARE MOUNTING BASE PLATE, TJ, MOD CUT

Rear Flare Mounting Plates, designed to mount the Quick Release Flares and cut for bigger tires.

1/8" Cold Rolled Steel Plate creates a solid mounting point for your Quick Release Flares.

Adds additional strength to your wheel well.

Quick Release flares available in Rub Rail, 4" or 6".

Mod Cut wheel opening allows for up to 35's comfortably on a stock TJ with no rubbing. (see below for details)

Fully integrates with the MetalCloak body armor system.

MOD CUT = BIGGER TIRES:

Mod Cut requires a small cut of the tube from behind the tire.

Body Mod Base Plate trumps the Stock Plastic Flares.

The stock rear fender mounting plates require some drilling, otherwise they install very smoothly and easily with no welding required.

Plates are sturdy and work well with the flares but are difficult to line up correctly, also had to drill holes where they overlapped with existing holes making them oblong like a figure "8". Otherwise great product.
Install took about 3 hrs per side.
