The Jeep Wrangler YJ and Jeep CJ-5 & CJ-7 Rear Flare Mounting Base Plates, Mod Cut, install easily with only minor Body Modification, and provide additional strength to the vulnerable wheel well opening allowing bigger tires on a lower lift.

Designed specifically as a mounting system for our Rub Rail, 4" or 6" Quick Release rear flares, the flare mounting hardware is built right in.

JEEP WRANGLER REAR FLARE MOUNTING BASE PLATE, YJ/CJ, MOD CUT

Rear Flare Mounting Plates, designed to mount the Quick Release Flares and cut for bigger tires.

1/8" Cold Rolled Steel Plate creates a solid mounting point for your Quick Release Flares.

Adds additional strength to your wheel well.

Quick Release flares available in Rub Rail, 4" or 6".

Mod Cut wheel opening allows for up to 33's comfortably on a stock YJ or CJ with no rubbing or 35's on a 2" BL. (see below for details)

Fully integrates with the MetalCloak body armor system.

MOD CUT = BIGGER TIRES:

Mod Cut requires a small cut of the tube from behind and in front of the tire.

Body Mod Base Plate trumps the Stock Plastic Flares.

The Mod-Cut rear fender mounting plates require some drilling and body cutting, otherwise they install very smoothly and easily with no welding required.

Incredible quality in product and customer service! Flare Mounts shipped fast and I was able to install them in about 2hrs! Anyone on the fence on whether they should get the Mod Cut or the Stock Cut should really decide on the Mod Cut.... Very little is trimmed and it makes a world of difference! You can mess up the trimming either since you trace the outline of the newly installed fender mount!

All in all I feel Metalcloak's products are the best in the market.... And their customer service and follow up is what brings people back!

Great add-on with the Front Overline Tube Fenders. I really like having the stock flares off the back and these look great in their place. They install pretty easy with some drilling and small amount of cutting but they really make the jeep look even better not to mention the added tire clearance. The craftsmanship and powder coat finish are excellent.
