MetalCloak is not just about looks. It is about functionality. We build nothing unless it serves a functional purpose. In this case, our fenders provide clearance AND our signature strength.

The JK is notorious for having weak sheet metal paneling.

To overcome this, we created a unique bracketing system that gains the strength our customers are used to on their CJ/YJ/TJ/LJs.

So if you lay your rig on its side, no worries, just get back up, brush off the pride, and hit the trail again.

Look great and feel stout.  Shop - New Mexico Jeep Builders (Fred Hawkins).  Professional job and very reasonably priced.

expensive but worth every penny January 25, 2014

Metalcloaks products continue to exceed my expectations. The design, and functionality of this product has done more than just transformed my jeep into a capable trail rig ; everything from standing on these fenders to slamming them up against rocks rubbing them against trees. Metalcloaks products has given me the confidence to take my 2013 10th anniversary rubicon anywhere I please without the fear of losing a Fender or damaging my quarter panels.

Take your time installing and they are fantastic January 24, 2014
Reviewer: Jessee Wright from Baldwin, MD United States
I have to agree with a few of the other reviews that fitment is a little tricky, but not overly complicated. I had a small variation in my JK (for some unknown reason), but I was able to call Metalcloak and get same day support (twice even!) and continue with my install, which took an honest half-day to get done right. The finished result looks amazing and quality of workmanship is great. I have the rear 62" crawler bumper and these are even more impressive. Lastly I love the ability to quickly remove the outer flare with two bolts. Hey Metalcloak, how about developing some outer-flare storage bags for trail days!? That would be something right?

front overlines September 5, 2013
Reviewer: Steve Gardner from Brighton, TN United States
Fitment was excellent, all JK's are just a bit different. The instructions online are really well done, I used my ipad while installing these. If you are torn between these and other brands, trust me, it is worth it to pay the little bit extra to go with Metal Cloak! I would suggest adding the clearance lights to the kit instead of being a separate cost. As a side note rubicon owners, just take the sliders completely off to help in the installation of the overlines. Use tape to keep your paint from getting scratched as you fit the equipment. When drilling the holes for the 4" bolts, MAKE SURE that your holes are straight on, or you could run into problems with the new inner fender wells for the overlines that are included with the kit. I was also able to use existing holes without drilling them out bigger, it makes for a tighter fit for the button head bolts, just start them by screwing them in. It took me total time about about 2 hours to install both sides on the front end.
