The Cherokee 3.5 leaf springs are the most feature packed springs you can get for your vehicle. The two stage leaf packs offer multi rate performance for comfortable and precise handling on road and the performance needed for off road abuse; these are the ONLY leaf spring packs that are matched to complement the MetalCloak front Dual rate coil springs.

Product Features:

  • Two-stage Leaf Pack: Featured on rear leaf springs for compliant, comfort on road and unsurpassed load handling when pushed to the limits. When unladed the vehicle is largely riding on the softer 1st stage of the spring, the secondary stage provides additional support under heavy compression. 
  • Overload leafs add anti-spring wrap and ensures the leaf works within the optimal compression loads.
  • Draw Tapered & Diamond Cut Leaves: Ensure loads are progressively distributed over a larger surface area and reduce the high stresses that develop at leaf spring ends. This improves ride quality, protects against leaf breakage, and significantly increases the spring life.
  • Bolt Clamps & Liners: Leaf clamps are bolted to allow installation of anti-squeak nylon liners.
  • Fully Scragged & Load Tested: Scragging ensures the spring takes a permanent 'set' which reduces the risk of sagging. Load testing ensures the spring meets the required specification.
  • Graphite Coating: To further reduce the friction between the spring leaves & friction pads.
  • Anti-Friction Pads: Re-greasable nylon interleaf liners reduce friction at the leaf tips where the load is the greatest.
  • Flat Axle Seat Area: Provides a flat axle mount to the spring plates reducing spring stress & increasing spring life.
  • Shot Peening: The tension side of all leaves are shot peened to reduce spring stress. This process can double the life of a spring.

The Durotrak™ Bushing (Pat Pend #14/622,350) is a NVH (noise, vibration, harshness) bushing made with a proprietary rubber compound unique to MetalCloak. Awesome lift! September 7, 2015

This kit provides a firm ride on the road, yet remains extremely flexible off road. The hood would remain level over dips & valleys and you could feel the suspension working over the terrain underneath you. This suspension keeps the tires in contact with the ground and gives you more confidence in your rigs abilities. I have waited 9 months and 6k miles to review this product to make sure nothing failed. Zero issues or regrets with this lift so far.

The only reason this doesn't get 5 stars is because I am not a fan of a track bar using a heim joint on the stock frame side bracket. If it had come with the new durotrak track bar and a bracket, it would have gained another 1/2 star.  The other reason is the swaybar disconnects. I had to modify them to work with my XJ. Also the design, which is used by other manufacturers is not the best design to connect/disconnect on un-even terrain. A better design or JKS units, of the right length would have given this kit a 5 star rating.

Overall I have to say this is by far an amazing lift , My XJ is my daily driver and weekend warrior and this lift makes it feel like it just rolled off the production line . The handling on the road is amazing just as much off-road. I would highly recommend this to any proud XJ owner.

Between the straight forward install, the high quality parts, and the completeness of the kit, I honestly don't think there is a better Lift kit out there.

The ride quality is superb, significantly than what I was getting from the "budget" lift kit that was installed by the previous owner. I have taken videos of my install, find them at youtube.com/jeeppatriotchannel.

Amazing October 29, 2014

I wsa one of the lucky winners of the Xj suspension kit.  The quality on the products is second to none all the welds are extremely clean and instalation is very straight forward, that is the boring stuff on the results.  Before the lift kit i went to a 15 degree ramp and did not do well at all.  I did not measure for actual numbers but it was not pretty pictures are on jeepforum.  after the install I doubled my flex on the ramp.  The ride is smoot and compfortable, i have extended shackles and with the ome springs it makes it a little stiff do to a different than stock leverage ratio.  I have noting bad to say about this kit.  I cannot wait to really get some offroad miles on it and challenege it.  Im hopin next year when all the parks in oklahoma open again to log some serious dirt miles.  I am thrilled with this product and look forward to the evolution that metalcloak provides.
