FENDERS...
Which should I get first, the tires, lift or fenders?
We always recommend that you get your fenders first, and that is not just because we sell fenders. We know from experience that once you have the fenders on, the rest of your build seems to fall into place -- Tire size, Lift size, all these elements are better defined, AFTER you have the fenders on.
What is the difference between Arched and Overline?
Priced the same, the Overline and Arched are virtually identical in clearance. The Overline is simply our flat-fender version for the more traditional look. The Overline does have about 3/4" less clearance OVER the tire than the Arched. But it has the same 6.5" over stock behind the tire and 4 1/4" over stock above the tire.
Are they really just Bolt-On?
Yes, the really are! All you will do is unbolt your current fenders, set them aside and bolt on our fenders. All you need to bolt them on is a rachet set and a couple allen wrenches - its that easy. For Four Wheeler's review of our installation Click Here.
Can I really put 35's on a stock TJ/LJ?
Yes you can. As we have shown on our site, 35's fit just fine with the MetalCloak fenders. When you order the rear fender kit, you will want to choose the cut-out version (corner guards come standardly as cut-out). But, we expect you, the user to know what your wheeling goal is. If you are expecting to do lots of extreme wheeling, then you will probably want to put at least a budget boost or a 2" short arm kit in.
Can I use a snorkel with your fenders?
Several customers have adapted ARB and Safari snorkels to their rigs. Write-ups can be found on JeepForum. Generally speaking you will need to raise the snorkel another 4 - 6" so it can mount on our access panel (on the TJ/LJ) which will require a smaller inside air hose and raising the snorkel and air intake above the top of your winshield.
Do your fenders come with flares?
Flares are sold separately. The awesomeness of the MetalCloak system is its Quick Release flares available in Comp, 4" or 6" versions. So you can go from street legal to rock biting jeeper in a matter of moments.

ROCKERS...
Do you still carry the Rocker that has the removable step?
No. While the design was unique and incredibly effective, we chose to discontinue that line for one major reason: They were hard to install. The MetalCloak philosophy is to be easy for you, then end user, to install. We will re-release them at a later date with their new look and ease of installation.
Can a Hi-Lift be used on your Rocker Rail?
Yes, the Rocker Rail has at least three points where a Hi-Lift can be used to lift your rig. One in front, one in the middle and one in the rear.
How long does it take to install the Rocker Rail?
No more than 30 minutes on each side.

REAR FENDERS...
Will your rear fenders work on a stretch kit?
Yes, you can adapt our rear fenders to your stretch kit, but you will need our Generic Flare Mounting Kit found on the Accessories page.
Are you rear flares removable?
Yes, the rear flares are also part of our Quick Release removable flare system.
What is CUT-OUT or STOCK?
When you choose cut-out or stock for your rear fender kit, you are deciding if you want to cut your tub or not. The Cut-Out option takes about an 1.5" out from behind the tire and a little bit in front. This allows for a larger wheel with a smaller lift. In using the cut-out option you will need to remove plastic inner fender well and re-paint it black. If you choose the stock option, it follows the lines of the standard wheel well and no body modification is needed.

FLARES...
Do I have to buy flares?
Generally speaking, most states have a requirement that you have flares on your vehicle to cover the tires. It is recommended that you add at least the 4" flare which is essentially the same as the stock flare. But if your state does not require flares, or your rig will not be on the streets, then you do not need to buy flares.
Are all your flares removable?
Yes, the MetalCloak system includes the idea that your flares can easily be removed or swapped for different sizes.
Can they be welded on?
If a customer would like to weld on their flares, that is at the customer's discretion. However, we will do not offer it as an option, nor do we recommend it. Welding the flares on is not going to make any real difference in strength.
How are the flares secured?
With our signature Quick Release "Ball Lock Joint" - a super strong mounting system that is designed to keep the trail stresses on the rigid joint and not on the bolt. Along with a couple other slotted brackets.
Can I buy just one flare?
Yes, if for some reason, you managed to damage the flares beyond recognition, you can contact us to buy a single replacement flare for the fronts or the rears.

CORNER GUARDS...
How much do your corner guards cover?
Our corner guards are designed to go from the front of the flare all around the corner of your rig to the tail gate. We do not go to your door. We did this to make sure we offered a corner guard that would mount our Quick Release flares, but not necessarily cover your entire rig.
Do the corner guards allow for the flares to mount?
Yes, they have the same mounting system as described above.
Are your corner guards stock or cut-out?
Our corner guards come with as a cut-out version only. See explanation above under Rear Fenders.

MARKER LIGHTS...
Do you have marker lights?
Yes, we have the Bullet and the Low-Profile, both of which can be found under Accessories on the home page.
What is the difference between the Bullet and the Low-Profile?
The Bullet Marker light sits high-on top of your fender and is a multi-purpose LED - meaning that you can use it as both a Marker Light AND a Turn Signal. The Low-Profile LED is a single purpose LED and can only be used as a Marker Light OR a Turn Signal. When you purchase the Low-Profile, we give you four lights (two for either side) for TJ/LJ or two lights for CJ/YJ. In the case of the TJ/LJ you can use one light as a Turn Signal and one light as a Marker, or however you want to set it up to meet the rules in your area.
Are the marker lights legal?
Laws vary state by state and county by county, so we cannot answer this question because we don't know the rules in your area. Please check your local laws and if you have any specific questions, please feel free to call.
