JK Wrangler ('12 - Current) Vacuum Pump Relocation Kit
2012 JK Wrangler Vacuum Pump Relocation Kit

The JK Wrangler Vacuum Pump Relocation Kit for the 2012 and later models, moves the Vacuum Pump (located by your front frame rail) up into the engine compartment.

The purpose of the move is to make room for our Frame-Built Bumper System and any winch you may want to install. If you don't plan on running a winch the relocation is not necessary.

Note: According to "sources" the reason Jeep moved the canister from the engine compartment down to the frame rails is that it makes a slight pumping sound and they wanted that sound as far away from the driver as possible.

The 2012 and later model JK's have a vacuum canister located off the inside of the front frame rails.

This canister is located right where most bumpers put the winch on a JK.

This simple and effective relocation bracket moves the canister up to the engine compartment.

Note: Moving it here does not compromise any of your Jeep's systems.

Creative placement March 9, 2018

I was unable to use this the way it was designed to be used because I had a switch pod mounted where it was supposed to go. I was able to make it work in a different place with a little modifying of the bracket. I’m happy where it is.

Vacuum Pump Relocation Kit December 28, 2017

The bracket is strong and works well. The included wire is small and We didn’t use it, opted to use 16 gage color matched wire wrapped in black loom for a factory look. It’s a little pricey for what it is -especial when you add $20+ for shipping & handling- and it should be noted when ordering a Bumper that you have to relocate the vacuum pump to save waiting 2 weeks with Jeep torn apart because of not knowing this important bit of information.

great product March 2, 2017

as always, Metalcloak comes through with a great product and fast shipping to get it here.  One suggestion I have is to have these helpful parts for ease of installation more clearly identified as suggested options.  Its a bummer to tear down a project and have to wait a few days for parts and not be able to finish the install when planned.  Don't get me wrong, the MC products are great.  Just knowing these helpful products are available when ordering would help greatly!  Keep up the great work!

Attractive Mount, Good Instructions November 4, 2016
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Austin, TX
The mount looks like under the hood and the instructions were clear. The only thing keeping it from getting 5 stars was that the wire extension was smaller gauge than the original, and at minimum it should have matched the original size, especially since the distance was increasing. I don't think the alternative products are any different, just something I noticed. In a perfect world, it have included an extension harness of the same size wiring with loom on it and the connectors already in place, preventing the need to cut and splice. That said, it all works fine and the mount looks nicer than the alternatives out there so I still recommend it.
